Elli T. Leis, 79, of Beaver passed away Wednesday October 29 in Heritage Valley Beaver. She was born August 2, 1935 in Ingolstadt, Germany and was the daughter of the late William Andrew and Berta F. Schmidhuber Knallay.

Elli had lived in Beaver for the last 60 years coming from New Brighton where she had graduated High School. She had worked in the jewelry department of Kaufmann’s, was a member of the First Christian Church of Beaver and had attended the Senior Center at the Mall. Elli was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Charles A. Leis, 2 sons, Daniel (Jane) Leis, Brighton Township and David (Cathy) Leis, Fallston, 4 grandchildren, Andy, Daniel, Christena and Charlie, 2 great-grandchildren, Ellie and Sarah, a brother, Herbert (Edith) Knallay, Huntsville, AL, a sister, Ruth (Joe) Randza, Scottsdale, AZ, some nieces and nephews and a cousin.

Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 and Sunday 12 to 3 and 6 to 8 in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver where a funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 AM by Reverend Edward Walsh of the Pathway Church in Chippewa Township. Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, Iroquois Place and Otter Lane, Beaver, PA 15009
