Elsie Bodell
Brighton Township
Elsie Bodell, 98 of Brighton Township passed away Friday February 26 in Beaver Meadows in Brighton Township. She was born September 10, 1922 in Derby, England and was the daughter of the late John and Emma Barnes. She was preceded in death by her husband Isadore ‘Izzy’ Bodell, brothers Raymond, Fred and William Barnes and a sister Mary Dean. Surviving her are her children Susan Bodell, Orlando, FL, Ian ‘Suzanne’ Bodell, Nashville, TN, Bonnie ‘Philip’ Turner, Norristown, PA and David Bodell, New Brighton, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a step-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. The Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver has been entrusted with the professional arrangements. Entombment will be in Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum Tuesday.

I grew up next door to the Bodells all the way thru my school years. And Mrs Bodell(Elsie) was always one of the nicest ladies you’ll ever meet. I know you guys will miss her. But think of all the wonderful memories. Sorry for your loss.

David – Your mom was one of our most loved volunteers at The Medical Center.She was always warm and kind to anyone who was around her.And she was a dear friend of mine during the many years she volunteered.You have my sincere condolences.She was quite a lady.May she rest in peace.
