Obituary

Elva Jean (Hartung) Petrik, 93, of South Beaver Township, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Christian House Home Health and Assisted Living.

Born on November 22, 1930, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Emma Jean (Winkle) Reeder.

Elva Jean had been a member of Brush Run Church. She was very involved in church and was a cook for the monthly dinners. She also was an avid gardener and liked to square dance and line dance. Elva Jean worked as a casket manufacturer for Freedom Casket Company, was a meat wrapper at Smith’s Frozen Foods, worked for Chuck and Kathy Schutte, and the Women’s Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Petrik; her sons, Bruce Petrik, Kevin Petrik, and Allen Petrik; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Petrik.

She is survived by her son, Quentin Petrik; three daughters-in-law, Colleen Malone, Rosetta Squirt Petrik, and Sara Petrik; Nine grandchildren, Joy, Kimberly, Nicole, Amy, Bethany, Doug, Leslie, Hogan, Kelsey, and three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received Monday November 11, 2024 10:00 AM to the time of service at 12:00 PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls PA 15010.

Interment to follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
