Ernestine "Ernie" R. (Ferrand) Puppich, 81, of Economy Boro, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver with her loving family by her side.

Born on December 20, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Irene (Blistan) Ferrand.

Ernie graduated from Freedom High School.  She had been a store clerk for various businesses in Beaver County, but most importantly was a homemaker who cared deeply for her family.  In her free time, she enjoyed playing Pinochle, Bingo, and spending time with her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas P. Puppich; and her siblings, Thomas Ferrand and Janis Holsinger.

Ernie is survived by her children, Renee (Rob) Kurkiewicz, Nick (Thelma Striffler) Puppich; her grandchildren, Rob (Stephanie) Kurkiewicz, Derek (Stephanie) Kurkiewicz, Jason Kurkiewicz, and Matthew Puppich; great-grandchildren, Roman, Isaac, and Stella Kurkiewicz; her sister, Vicki (Ken) Hissam; a sister-in-law, Shirley "Shan" Ferrand; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Thursday, February 2 ^nd from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at the GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES (Branch), 340 3 ^rd Street, Beaver.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 3 ^rd at 12:00 Noon at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, (formerly Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Parish), 1000 3 ^rd Ave., Conway, with Fr. Michael Roche as celebrant.

Private interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
