Obituary

Evelyn Mary (Swick) LeFebvre, lifelong resident of North Sewickley Twp, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, May 15, 2025, with her daughter by her side.
Born in North Sewickley Township on December 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Orrin A.  and Mary J. (Mantch) Swick Thompson.
During her long life, she was a devoted member of Concord Church.  She always said she was carried in as an infant and wanted to be carried out.  She was a faithful servant to the church, singing in the choir, Dean of Bible School, arranging and helping with weekly Youth Group, and served as President of the United Methodist Women, always willing to help when needed.  She also loved helping with the Jumonville Church Camp.
Evelyn served as Justice of the Peace in North Sewickley for many years. She loved being a Girl Scout Leader and assisted with the Boy Scouts.  She spent many years working on the Return and Recount Board for the Beaver County Board of Elections.  One of her fondest memories was driving the school bus for Riverside School District where the kids affectionately called her Evy.  She had a great relationship with the students.
She also worked as a local Registrar for the Bureau of Vital Statistics where she typed death certificates.  She was meticulous about her job and was appreciated by the local funeral homes.  In her free time, Evelyn enjoyed working in the garden with her husband, canning her vittles and entering them into the fair.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. LeFebvre; a brother, John Swick; and a sister, Nancy Lee Swick.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandson Brian Emerick and his dog Sam; children, Deborah (Don) Emerick and Orrin (Holly) LeFebvre; grandchildren, Nicole LeFebvre, and Natalie (Nate) August; her brother, Pastor Sam Swick; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10AM until time of services at 2PM at the Concord Church, A Global Methodist Congregation, 285 Concord Church Rd, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Evelyn’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to friends, Kenneth Kemp, Bob and Sandy Sprinker, Vicki Homner, Emily and Gary Bischoff, Donna Diehl, Bridget Berry Kotuba, Mary Ann Swick, and Roxanne Young. A special thanks to Pam George for her strength and guidance with her mother’s care; Teresa Stowe and Laurie Schlosser for their support and helpfulness; nurses, Jen, Jessica, Ashley, and Marla; and Thomas Whipple for guiding her and Debbie as she moved to eternal life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s name to Good Samaritan Hospice, 116 Browns Hill Road #100, Valencia, PA 16059.
