Francena Regney Grab
Monaca and Rochester

Francena Regney Grab, 91, of Monaca, formerly of Rochester, passed away Saturday April 8 in Good Samaritan Hospice, Brighton Township. She was born December 28, 1925 in Ambridge and was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Drexler Regney. Francena was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Monaca, an honor graduate of Monaca High School, class of 1943, had been employed for over 50 years in a number of secretarial positions that included Koppers Inc., and Babcock and Wilcox, retiring from the B.C, Area Vocational Technical School in 2002 after 15 years of service at which time she and Jack were married, at age 76. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband Jack Grab in 2013, her first husband, Alphonse Colamarino in 1997, a brother, John Regney and a nephew Donald Parker and an aunt Irene Drexler Neuber. She is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth and Keith Colamarino, Rochester, a daughter Karen Brittain Smith (Allen), Newman, GA, 3 grandchildren, Keith A. ‘KC’ Colamarino (Jessica), Kelly Davis (Andrew) and Christopher Brittain, and 2 great-grandsons, Dominic Mario “Nico” Colamarino and Easton Davis. Also surviving are brothers, Donald Regney (Anita), Monaca, Robert Regney (Margaret Ann), Lynchburg, VA, sister, Marlene Parker, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday April 10 at 10 AM in St. John’s Catholic Church, Monaca. Entombment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church or the Monaca Library. The Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver has been entrusted with the arrangements.
