Frances Martha Leaf, 83, a longtime resident of the Beaver Area passed away Monday January 28 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born September 2, 1935 in Cadiz, KT and was the daughter of the late Alex and Martha Sholar Meredith. She had worked as a nurse’s aid at Friendship Ridge, and later worked for Life Steps from where she retired. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Joseph Leaf in 2009, a grandson Chad Webster, a brother, Douglas Meredith and a sister Elizabeth Carter. She is survived by daughters, Loretta Ann Leaf, Vanport and Belinda (Jim) Casteel, Ft. Meyers, FL, 3 grandchildren, Jamie (Traci) Webster, T.J. (Katie) Casteel and Amy (Joe) Moroski and 5 great-grandchildren, Marley, Emmy, Fiona, Lincoln and Artie. Friends will be received in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver Sunday from 6 to 8 and Monday from 10 until service time at 11 AM. Reverend Donna Doutt of the Rochester Faith Community United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester. The family suggests contributions may be made to the Chad Webster Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Beaver Area School District, 1300 Fifth Street, Beaver, PA 15009.
