Garfield Franklin Robbins, 85, of Patterson Township passed away peacefully on July 15 in Beaver Falls.  We take comfort that he is in heaven with our Lord and Savior.  He was born on October 4, 1936, to Garfield Grant and Francis Elizabeth Robbins in Beaver Falls.  After high school, he served in the United States Army and then worked at the B&W steel plant.  He met Marjorie Ann Terwilliger at church, and they had a long marriage.  He was close to our Lord and Savior and spent decades helping others including at the Kiwanis Club and with youth athletics like the Knothole League.  He loved to fish.  He also enjoyed helping to care for the neighborhood pets.  He was a local sports fan who enjoyed the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and the Blackhawk Cougars.

He was preceded in death by Marjorie and their son David.  He is survived by his sons Daniel (Debbie) of Calabasas, California and Jerry of Beaver as well as his grandchildren Emily, Claire and Daniel William Robbins of Calabasas, California.  He is also survived by his sister Sue Klein (Gary) and by many nieces and cousins.

His family lived on Craig Head Lane my brother Jack and I had fond memories of Garf as we called him. He was several years older but a very happy and pleasant young man.
