Gary R. Thompson

Gary R. Thompson, 59, of Vanport, passed away Monday January 27. He was born July 27, 1954 in New Brighton, had been a life long resident of the Beaver area and was the son of the late William L. and Margaret E. Fraser Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother Sally E. Thompson.

Gary had been employed by Lucky Vitamins and formerly worked for Westinghouse and Tuscarora Plastic. He was a member of the Vanport Presbyterian Church and the Men’s Club of Van Buren Homes.

Surviving him are his son Shaun Thompson, York, PA 2 brothers, Dennis (Yvonne) Thompson, Charleston, WV and Bob (Cindy) Whittingham, Beaver Falls, 2 sisters, Sandy (Bill) Staszak, White Oak and Judy (Dave) Noll, Salisbury, MD.

Friends were received Friday 2 to 4 and 6 until service time at 7:30 in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver. His pastor Reverend David Byers officiated. Burial was in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
