George Louis Blobner, 92, of Chippewa Twp., passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in Lakeview Personal Care Home.

Born June 16, 1931, in Rochester, he was the son of the late Louis and Caroline (Gabauer) Blobner.

George was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was married for over 60 years, raised 3 beautiful daughters, and helped raise 2 grandchildren.  He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War, a Chippewa Twp. Volunteer Fireman, and a member of St. Monica's, where he was active in the choir.  He loved to sing and serenade all of his friends at Lakeview.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen (Fromm) Blobner; 3 brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Frank Blobner; and 3 sisters, Betty Genevieve, Emma Blobner, and Clara Zupsic.

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Skvarla, Valerie Cook and Melanie Lokomski; and 2 grandchildren, David McCormick and Hailey Cook.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 22 ^nd from 1pm-4pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC.- 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa Twp.- www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com where prayers will be held on Saturday at 9:20am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church of St. Augustine Parish.

Private interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
