Obituary

George J. Sekeres, 78, of Chippewa Twp., passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Celebration Villa of Chippewa.

Born May 21, 1945 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late George Peter and Susan Marie (Pisano) Sekeres.  George enjoyed going to car cruises, watching car rebuild shows and keeping his own cars meticulous.

He is survived by his loving daughters and two son-in-laws: Lisa Sekeres, Linda (Jon) Edel and Leigh Ann (John) Derringer; four grandchildren, John Michael Derringer, Lauryn Edel, Jaden Edel and Joshua Derringer; and a sister, Joanne Houp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former father-in-law and mother-in- law, Edward J. and Emma Whitslar; and a brother-in-law, Moe Houp.

Private interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery.
