George "Pete" McDaniel passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Born December 23, 1961, George was extremely proud to have served and retire from the US Navy Submarine Force, having been assigned to the USS Jack – SSN 605, USS Will Rogers – SSBN 659, USS George Washington Carver – SSBN 656 and the USS Philadelphia – SSN 690.

George was a very kind and humorous man who was devoted to his family and friends and he will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

George is survived by his wife, Rita Korff McDaniel; his children, Tristan McDaniel and Eulacie McDaniel, Danielle Arner and Justin Sosnowski, Amber McDaniel Smith and Selena Smith, Matthew Rambo and Jobi Lynn Rambo; his brother, Ronnie McDaniel; his stepmother, Paulette McDaniel; his 6 grandchildren, Desmond Taylor, Trina Smith, Brooklyn Sosnowski, Hamish Smith, Isaiah Rambo and Spencer McDaniel, his dearest friends, Richard Adams and Melissa Adams; and numerous other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Geneva Southard McDaniel and Jerry McDaniel.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 9th from 2-4pm and 6pm until the time of a blessing service at 8pm in the Gabauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services- 1133 Penn Avenue, New Brighton PA 15066.

Interment will take place on Thursday, August 10 ^th at 10:30am in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies-1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville PA 15017.
