Obituary

George T. “Dobie” Brummitt, 74, of Monaca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.

Born on September 20, 1948, in Rochester, he was the son of the late Morros and Rita (Gribben) Brummitt.

George was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War.  In his free time, he enjoyed time spent outdoors, whether it was hunting or fishing.  He was an avid pool player and mostly loved time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Holly) Brummitt; his sister, Lynn Kalember; his brothers, Greg (Judy) Brummitt, Mark (Barb) Brummitt, and Brad Brummitt; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Brummitt, and a brother-in-law, Greg Kalember.

George’s wishes for cremation will be honored and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

The GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Township, was honored to provide care and guidance to George’s family.

    To me his name has always been associated with his love of music and record collecting.

  2. I am so so sorry!! Loved Dobie!!!
    We spent many times together back when we were in High School with Jeff! Great times!
    Every time I would see him he would still say hi and give hugs!
    Bless you and Many thoughts and prayers are with Jeff and the rest of the family!
