Obituary

George William Hogan, Jr., 73, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice – Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born on October 2, 1949, in Rochester, he was the son of the late George William, Sr. and Doris (Smith) Hogan.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam Era.  George had been a sales manager for Sylvania Hills Memorial Park for several years before retiring from Friendship Ridge as an LPN.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his friends hitting the links.

He is survived by his children, Carissa (Michael) Moore and Matthew (Caroline) Hogan; his grandchildren, Blaine Moore, Marianna Moore, Sarah Moore, and Harper Hogan; a sister, Linda (Dallas) Petty; numerous extended family members and friends.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 27th from 12 Noon until the time of closing words at 1PM at the GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES (Branch), 340 Third St., Beaver.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Upper Beaver Valley Veteran’s Service Center.

  1. My deepest condolences to the Hogan family and all of your loved ones in your loss. I worked with George in the NM Department of the Eaton Corporation plant in Beaver.I enjoyed our conversations about the professional Pittsburgh sports teams and the local college football teams.May God bless and comfort you with His love and peace.
