Obituary

Gerald S. “Bucky” Inman, Jr., 82, of New Brighton, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at St. Barnabas – Beaver Meadows.

Born on September 8, 1940, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Gerald and Mary Inman.

Bucky was self employed having owned and operated Inman Excavating.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, New Brighton.  In his free time, Bucky enjoyed competition shooting at Brady’s Run Park, hunting, fishing and woodworking in his wood shop.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Janet Rae (Seward) Inman; a sister, Geraldine; and a grandson, Mark Carney.

He is survived by his children; Rhonda C. (Eric Diebolt) Crouch, Ronald C. (Cindy Bush) Crouch, Jr., Patrick S. (Linda Jo) Gossard, and Virginia P. (Gary) Guy; grandchildren, Keith Decker, Jr., Katie Decker, Kristen (Joel) Scott, Casey Bush, Alicia Bush, Shannon (Dane) Lee, Chelsea (Joe) McCarty, Morgan (Tyler) Helch; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Those who he continued to hold in his heart; Gerald (Kim) Inman III and Tammy (Rick) Waxler and families.

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 4th from 10-11AM at the First Baptist Church, 315 8th St., New Brighton, PA 15066.  A memorial service will be held at 11AM with Pastor Mark Ours as officiant.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.

We are grateful for the compassionate care and kindness given by the entire staff at St. Barnabas, Beaver Meadows along with the love and support of their hospice team.

  1. So sorry for your loss. I remember him and dad talking and I’d listen in our their conversations 😁 always had great stories! Even though I was young when I was around him, I admired him and Jan and the good vibes around them❤️

  2. So many cherished memories on the farm as a kid, and teen years. You gave Erin and I the nickname smash & crash because we both wrecked the 4-wheelers lol! Aunt Janet and you were always so happy to see us girls when we came too visit. You guys are together again. Tell all those who have gone in our family that I love and miss them always. Rest easy uncle Bucky.
