Gloria H. Landis
Formerly of Beaver
Gloria H. Landis, 94 a lifelong resident of Beaver, passed away Monday July 22 at the Masonic Village of Sewickley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Rosina Hiendertmark, a sister Betty Carrow and a brother Frederick Hiendertmark.
Her husband William A. Landis passed away in 1991. Together they had owned and operated Dogsville Restaurant in Beaver. Gloria had also worked for many years at Batchelor Furniture Store in the Beaver Valley Mall. She is survived by her four loving children, Barbara Manon, Pittsburgh, Leslie Landis (Mark Gaynes), Chicago, Marshall Landis (Judy Soseck), Brighton Township, and Mark Landis (Lynni), New Brighton. She was blessed to have 7 grandchildren, Stephanie Manon, Michael Landis, Derek Manon (Sharon), Cassandra Landis, Morgan Gaynes, Matthew Landis and Kelly Landis. Gloria was proud to be a great-grandmother to 6 great-grandchildren.
Private funeral arrangements are being held at Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver followed by interment at Beaver Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Masonic Village of Sewickley for their compassionate care of Gloria.

My sincere sympathy to The Landis Family. I worked with Gloria at Batchelor Furniture for about 20 years. She was working there before I started and since my name is Gloria too, I would always say that she was Gloria number one and I was Gloria number two. She was a joy to work with. We all have good memories, of Gloria number one.
