Grace Mikita, 95, of New Brighton, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Heritage Valley Beaver.She was born October 1, 1920, in Industry, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Sullivan) Muschweck. She was a deacon, a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, New Brighton Historical Society, New Brighton Federated Womans Club, Century Club, and an avid Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan.She is survived by a son, John Edward (Karen) Mikita, Center Twp.; two daughters, Diana Lynn (John) McDonnell, Delmar, DE, Cheryl Ann Gauvey; sister, Marie Udick, Industry; grandson, Ryan John Mikita, Center Twp.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Mushweck, Mary Gerlach, and Gladys Miller; and brother-in-law, Jay Udick.Friends will be received Saturday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton, www.gabauerfuneralhome.com . Mrs. Mikita will lie in state Sunday from 2pm until time of service at 3pm in the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, 115 N Mercer Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066. Pastor Jordan Rimmer will officiate.Private Entombment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.The family requests that any memorial contributions be made in Grace’s name to the Westminster United Presbyterian Capital Campaign at the address listed above.
