Obituary
Gregory K. Douglass, 72, of North Sewickley Township, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 19, 2025.
Born November 23, 1952, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Glenda (Hammond) Douglass.
Greg loved his family more than anything, and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He spent countless hours camping, fishing, and hiking with them. He was always laughing and making sure his family and friends were having a good time, often entertaining them with renditions of his favorite songs and dancing along to get a few extra laughs.
As a member of Concord Church for many years, he was a faithful servant, active in church activities, teaching Sunday School, serving on the Board of Trustees and serving in many other capacities across the congregation.
After graduating from Riverside High School in 1970, Greg attended Dickinson College ’74 for his undergrad then earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University in 1977. He returned to Beaver County to practice law for over 40 years, always advocating for justice and fairness for his clients and using his professional skills to serve the community.
He met the love of his life Janice (Trozzo) Douglass, they were married in 1980, and together they built a loving family, Alison (Christopher) Hutchins, Benjamin (Emily) Douglass, and Andrew Douglass; grandchildren, Nicholas (Alyssa) Hutchins, Mason Hutchins, Nolan McKinney, Connor McKinney, Gavin Douglass, Blaire Douglass, Elijah Douglass, and Samuel Douglass; his brother, Robert Douglass; his sister, Mary Ellen Douglass; numerous in-laws, extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 22nd from 6-8PM and on Friday, May 23rd from 1-3PM & 5-7PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

I remember Greg from growing up at Westminster UP church. My sympathy to Mary Ellen, Bob, Janice and all the kids/grandkids. He was such a nice guy.

Greg was a true, humbled gentleman, with whom I had the pleasure of working in both the Beaver County Bar Association and at his former firm, Reed, Tosh, Wolford & Douglass. I continued to see him at the courthouse as recent as last week and he always asked about my children. Family was so important to him and his face lit up when he was asked about his grandchildren. I offer my condolences to his loving family and may you soon find peace in your faith.

Greg was my Resident Advisor in my freshman year at Dickinson College in 1971-72. It was exceptional for a sophomore to serve as an RA but Greg did very well in the role. My condolences to his family and friends.
