Hedwig C. "Hattie" Childs, 90, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Franciscan Manor.

Born on October 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Julianna (Frederick) Renn.

Hedwig had been a professional seamstress for many years at various companies around Beaver County.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, F. Harry Childs; two sons, Harry and Gregory Childs; a son-in-law, Michael Pflug; a daughter-in-law, Janet Duff Childs; and her siblings, Ewalt, Don, Edward, Freda, Helen, Betty, Dorothy, Martha, Alice, and Ruth.

Hattie is survived by her daughter, Hedy Pflug; her grandchildren, Heather (Regis) Stief, Meghan (Ken) Naylor, Samuel (Kara) Childs, and Julie Ann Pflug; her great-grandchildren, Henry Stief, Adelyn Stief, and Marina Naylor; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 28 ^th from 4-7PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Rd., Beaver Falls, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29 ^th at 10AM.

Private interment will be in Beaver Falls Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hattie's name may be made to Advanced Hospice, or Good Samaritan Hospice.

The family would like to thank the staff of Franciscan Manor, Advanced Hospice, and Good Samaritan Hospice for all of the loving care they provided to Hattie.
