Obituary

Helen Garczewski, 84, of Beaver Falls, died peacefully at Providence Care Center on Friday, June 2, 2017. Born August 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Borucki) Cienkowski. Helen was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary daily. She was extremely proud of her Polish heritage and her family meant the world to her. She was a huge Pittsburgh sports fan. Helen’s mission in life was to make people laugh, she always had a good joke. She befriended everyone she met, no one was ever a stranger. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Garczewski and a brother, Walter Cienkowski, Beaver Falls. She is survived by her loving children, Patricia Garczewski, Plum; Barbara (Marc) Ucchino, Poland, Ohio, and Ed (Donna) Garczewski, Munhall; a brother, Edward Cienkowski; grandchildren, Matthew (Alicia) Ucchino, Dr. Mallory Ucchino, Morgan (Pat) Kelley, Macy Ucchino, Margo Ucchino and fianc?? JT Durbin, Matthew Melonuk and Nicholas Garczewski and great-grandchildren, Jack Kelley and Marco Ucchino. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com, where prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Monica’s, Chippewa. A rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
