Obituary

Helen Jane Evanson, 93, of Lutz, Florida, formerly of Koppel, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in the comfort of her daughter’s home.

Born on March 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Mary (Golixer) Novak.

Helen was a proud homemaker throughout her life and her most important role was that of being a Mother. She was a great listener, known for her kindness, and made everyone feel special.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Evanson; and her siblings, John Novak, Mary Zollum, and Vera Sammons.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathleen (Alfred) Lappano, Marian Evanson, and Michael (Loretta) Evanson; her grandchildren, Stephen, David, and Bethany; great-grandchildren, Elia, Cora, and Seraphina; her sister, Margaret “Cookie” Billingsly; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, all services were private.

Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
