Obituary

Iva Bay Freed White, 90, of Ellwood City, formerly of Homewood, died Thursday, December 8, 2016, at the Grove at Harmony.Born September 1, 1926, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida Deval Freed. Her family was her life, they were her world.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. White Jr.; two sons, Timothy E. and John Herbert White; two daughters, Janet Lee Hamel and Flora Jane Gould; five brothers, Sherman, Robert “Dick”, Harley “Red”, Roscoe, and Jake Freed, and a sister, Faye Little. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia “Tina” Shoaff and a son, Joseph E. Sr. (Kathy) White; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1117 Fifth Ave., Beaver Falls.Private interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.The family request contributions be made, if desired, to the Beaver County Cancer and Heart Association, 3582 Brodhead Road, Ste. 201, Monaca, PA 15061.
