Obituary

James Edward Ritchie Sr., 66, of Aliquippa, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 in Heritage Valley Sewickley, surrounded by his family.

Born in Beaver Falls on November 16, 1958, he was the son of the late Herbert L. and Millicent A. (Maley) Ritchie.

Jim had a career as a forklift operator and as a laborer within various industries. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan and loved watching the Steelers and Penguins games. He also loved watching CNN.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary Ann (Drobac) Ritchie; his children, Kristie (Jimmy Owens) Ritchie, James (Brittany) Ritchie Jr., Joshua Ritchie, and Michael Ritchie; former daughter in-law, Kaylene Ritchie; a brother, William Joseph Ritchie; sisters, Donna Ritchie and Florence Quigley; six grandchildren, Michael (Ashlynn) Napolitan III, Anna Napolitan, Kylie Napolitan, James Ritchie III, William Ritchie, and Jonathan Ritchie; and two great-grandchildren, Michael IV and Ezekiel. Along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Ritchie Jr.; sister, Betty Jeane Ritchie; and brother-in-law, John Quigley Sr.

A celebration of life conducted by the family will be held on Thursday, May 8th at the Rochester Free Methodist Church, 480 Jefferson St, Rochester, PA 15074. Family and Friends are welcome to come to share memories and a meal together from 3pm – 7pm and a service will be held at 3:30pm by Pastor Chuck Thomas.
