James Albert "Jim" Jones, 70, of New Galilee, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born on July 16, 1952, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Arch and Donna Jones.

Jim had been a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for Bognar & Company, Inc. and had recently retired following 52 years of faithful service. In his younger years, he loved racing his Mopar cars. He loved restoring classic cars, going to his camp, and riding ATVs.  Jim was a hard worker and loved his family and his two dogs, Sadie and Rocky.

He is survived by his lovely wife of nearly 27 years, Amy Jo (Shumaker) Jones; his children, James Albert Jones, Jr., Richard (Teckla) Schwartz, Michelle (Jermaine) Schwartz, and Matthew (Gabrielle) Jackson; his grandchildren, Makayla, Rich, Kyle, Tyler, Jaelin, and Gavin; great-grandchildren, Armani, Sofia and Azai; and many close friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother Archie.

In accordance with Jim's wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be planned in the near future and will be announced by the family.
