Obituary
James Michael “Mike” Murray III, 79, of Ohioville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Heritage Valley Health System, Beaver Campus.
Born on May 15, 1946, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James Michael Jr. and Catherine (Smiley) Murray.
Mike received his master’s degree from Duquesne University and spent his professional life self-employed in the advertising industry. He attended Saints Peter and Paul Church of Our Lady of the Valley Parish. Mike and Roxann wintered at The Villages, Florida, where he served as president of the Cape Cod Club and enjoyed spending time in Cape Cod, over the summer. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and he never missed watching The Kentucky Derby.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Roxann (Kubly) Murray; stepchildren, Todd (Lisa) Koltes, Melissa (Scott) Hegarty, and Jill (Michael) Ceravolo; grandchildren, Lily, Hailey, Bernie, Cole, Ethan, and Avery; as well as extended family members, and friends.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 5th from 1PM until the time of Blessing Service at 4PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Township, 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Fr. Howard Campbell will preside.
In lieu of flowers, Mike’s family kindly requests that all memorial contributions be directed to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001, or any humane society or animal shelter of one’s choice.

Dear Roxann and Family,
We were so saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. You have our deepest sympathy. We have fond memories of our dinners at Carmassi’s , downtown and hearing stories of Mike and Steve’s school days at Assumption Elementary School in Bellevue. We will miss his quick wit and great conversations. Such a loss of a good man. He will be missed.
