Jeannette McCowin Weigel, 91, formerly of Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Windsor House at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center, Columbiana, OH.
Born on July 21, 1932, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late William and Matilda (Van Tassel) Erath.
Jeannette had been the retail manager for Thrift Drug for many years. She was a volunteer with the Heritage Valley Lady's Auxiliary and was an avid shopper, in which she was often heard saying "buy it, you can always take it back". Most of all, she enjoyed precious moments spent with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul McCowin in 1992; her second husband, Lee Weigel in 2002; sons-in-law, Walt Huston and Ray Gillis; and two brothers, William Erath and Richard Erath.
Jeannette is survived by her daughters, Toni (Joe) Fulghum, Teri (Glen Fusetti) Huston, Luanne (Dave) Ehrenberg, and Lori (John) Uslenghi; a step-son, Larry (Joan) McCowin; grandchildren, Megan Morris, Maren Scullion, Matthew Huston, Kelly David, Ashley Scholla, Ally Thompson, Paige Jeannette Uslenghi, Chris McCowin, Craig McCowin, and Jason McCowin; 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 9 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Joyce) Erath; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 11 th from 4-8PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 12 th at 10AM.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to www.williams-syndrome.org in Jeannette's honor.
Jeannette's family would like to extend a heart-felt "Thank You" to Chris, Sherry, and Jeanette, her devoted caregivers and friends, as well as the staff of Windsor House for their exceptional care.
