Obituary

Jodi S. Seybert, 54, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Providence Care Center.

Born November 22, 1966 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of Clarence J. and Adele (Allison) Seybert.

After surviving nearly 34 years with an inoperable brain tumor, to describe Jodi as a miracle would be an understatement. She lit up the world with the love of Jesus, while enduring a disease that would make others turn away from their faith. Her illness took much away from her yet she handled it with grace and a beautiful smile on her face.  Her Aunt once told her that she was awesome and her reply (before losing her speech permanently) was "No, God is awesome". She gave all the glory to God!  It is her family's hope and prayerful request that more people follow her example of always relying on the Lord, no matter the struggle.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two brothers, Clarence J. II (Melanie) Seybert and Jeremy (Melissa) Seybert; her sister, Jami (Anthony) Ersher; a very special aunt, Antoinette Allison; her nieces and nephews, Clarence III (Stephanie), Jacob, Kallista, Isabella, Tristan, Jensen, Anthony II, Emma, Nathan, Aria and Tori; her great-niece, Thea Marie; and her cousins, Jason (Sara) Allison and their children Anna and Stephen Allison, and Joshua Allison and his son, Matthew Fuchel.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2pm-6pm in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home-117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa- www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com, where prayers will be held on Wednesday at 9:30am followed by as mass of Christian burial at 10 am at St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Kim Schreck will officiate.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff of Providence Care Center for the endless love, support, and compassion that they gave to Jodi and their family.

  1. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I remember my days as supervisor at Providence and seeing Jodi in her chair or me trying to give her medicines. She had a loving and devoted family – something not always seen in this world. Just seeing the family on my days working were my “calm in the storm.” Jodi is at peace. God bless you all.
