John “Jack” C. Malone, 89, of Daugherty Twp., died Sunday November 27, 2016 in his residence.He was born April 25, 1927, in Rochester, the son of the late John E. and Anna (Peterson) Malone. He was a retired machine operator for Phoenix Glass after 50 years, where he was known as “the bear”. He was a member of the Monaca America Legion 580, and he liked to hunt and fish.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Linn) Malone; and step-mother, Betty E. Malone.Surviving are three sons, John T. (Sandra) Malone, Conway, Jack R. (Denise) Malone, Beaver, and James E. Malone, Conway; two daughters, Joy L. (Harold) Price, Beaver, and Jody A. Malone, Daugherty Township; 14 grandchildren, Jenerra, Jamie, Janelle, Jillian, Jesse, Jolene, John T. Jr, Joanna, Maggie, Katie, Alex, Jimmy, Johnathan, and Jordan; and 9 great-grandchildren.Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton, www.gabauerfuneralhome.com, where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Lee Bittner will officiate.Interment will be private.The family will like to give a special thanks to the Mother Theresa Hospice, especially Nurse JoAnn and Aid Gloria, and the aids with Personal Touch, Lori and Jena, Progressive Health, his PT and OT Chris and Debbie.
