Obituary

John Robert Lewchenko Sr., 92, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Beaver Valley Health & Rehabilitation.Friends will be received Saturday, May 28th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A blessing service will be officiated by Father Bill Schwartz at 4 p.m., following with the Veterans Honor Guard conducting a full military honors at GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1117 Fifth Ave., Beaver Falls, www.gabauerluttonfuneralhome.com.John was born October 9, 1923, in Ellwood City, Pa. His parents were the late Nicholas Lewchenko and Barbara (Cieply) Lewchenko. John served our country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Yorktown and the USS Hornet. John retired from B&W as a millwright welder with 30 years of service. John also worked at the Beaver County Jail and owned a fire extinguisher business.John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Veronica (Antoline) Lewchenko; two sons, Christopher and Patrick; two brothers, and six sisters.Surviving are his four sons, John (Jr.), Michael, Robert and Daniel; five daughters, Deborah, Christine, Julianne, Bernadette and Ramona, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a sister, Pauline Selva.John enjoyed relaxing, smoking his pipe and spending time with all his family and friends.
