Joseph A. Sokol, 74, of Baden, formerly of Patterson Heights and Beaver Falls, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in the comfort of his home.

Born on April 29, 1948, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Raffie R. (Racco) Sokol.

Joe was a fantastic teacher for over 30 years in the New Brighton School District where he mentored numerous children in 4 ^th and 5 ^th grades.  As a devout Catholic, Joe attended daily Mass with the "Daily Mass Friends" at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church.  He loved his family unconditionally and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.  In his free time, Joe loved driving and would often take long rides to nowhere, met friends many mornings for coffee, golfed in a few leagues with terrific friends, and enjoyed the sun and great jazz music.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 32 years, Deborah (Calvin) Sokol; his sister, Mary Ann (John) Darak; his aunt, Evelyn Tribone; his brother-in-law, Phillip "PJ" (Patti) Calvin; his niece and nephews, Diane (Mark) Speicher, Alan Calvin, Cody (Julia Suehr) Calvin, and Jake (Jessica) Calvin; his mother-in-law, Judy Calvin; numerous great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins and friends.

Friends will be received on Monday, October 10 ^th from 3-7PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

Departing prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, 116 Thorndale Dr., Beaver Falls with Fr. John Naugle as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
