Joyce Ann Mihalic, 85, of Beaver Falls, died on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Heritage Valley – Beaver.

Born on April 21, 1938, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Rose (Gural) Synowka.

Joyce had retired from Westinghouse in Beaver after many years of faithful service.  She was an avid dancer, having been an instructor for the Arthur Murray Dance Center of Pittsburgh, awarded many awards for her excellent teacher skills and was an active member of St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish.  Joyce taught CCD at church and worked after hours for Beaver Valley hot line association for those in need to discuss their troubles, and she was an active member of Friends for Jesus.  She was most fond of family time and cared for her loving dog for many years.

She is a graduate of the Beaver Falls Senior high school class of 1956.

She is survived by her son, Eric (Wendy Wallace) Mihalic; her grandchildren, Annie Makepeace, April Beighley (Bobby), Coleton Beighley (Maggie), and Forrest Beighley (Claire); great-grandchildren, Cali-Grace Richards, Bryson, Sage, Weston, and Waylon Beighley, and one more on the way, Baby Winter; her brother, Thomas (Rose Ann) Synowka, whom she relied on throughout her many endeavors;  numerous cousins,  nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 15 ^th from 4PM to 8PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

Departing prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Saturday, December 16 ^th at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish, 116 Thorndale Dr., Beaver Falls.  Fr. Kim Schreck will serve as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
