Obituary

Judith “Judy” Cecilia Albright, 80, of Monaca, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 after a long fight with dementia.

Born in Bellevue hospital on May 24, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Gertrude (Dobicyski) Maratta.

Judy received her undergraduate degree at Geneva College and a master’s degree in educational communications at the University of Pittsburgh. She then went on to work as a teacher at Todd Lane Elementary School in Center Twp, Beaver County. She then gave up her career to have her three children.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling. Her favorite vacation destination was Florida. She regularly went to Walt Disney World with her kids and to visit her brother in Saint Petersburg.

She also enjoyed reading mysteries, going to museums and watching classic films.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Patrick K. Albright; her children, Matthew Albright, Stephen (Marie) Albright, and Amy (Chris) Hayworth; along with numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her brother, Warren Maratta Jr.

All services for Judy were private, her wishes for cremation will be honored.

Arrangements were handled by the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.

    Many years ago Mrs Albright was my teacher at Todd Lane. She always had a smile on her face and I remember her kindness. She was such a good teacher.
    May she rest in peace.
