Obituary
Karen Ann Nicol, 71, of Beaver, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born in Rochester on October 4, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marjorie (Wadding) Beighey.
Karen will be remembered as a woman whose world revolved around the people she cherished most. She lived for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding her greatest joy in their presence and the memories they created together. Karen shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Toby.
An introvert at heart, she found happiness in simple, meaningful moments—whether it was watching her favorite films like Dirty Dancing and Mamma Mia!, or spending time with her treasured collection of baby dolls, many of which she lovingly made herself. Karenloved to crochet. Her gentle spirit, creativity, and deep devotion to family will be forever remembered and dearly missed.
Karen is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Kenneth W. Nicol; her son, George (Devon Hooper) Nicol; her brothers, Walter, Tom, Karl, and Eric Beighey; her grandchildren, Tyler (Brooklyn Muma) Nicol and Bristol Nicol; her great-grandchildren, Waylon and Christian; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her son, Christian Nicol; and her brother, Larry Beighey.
All services for Karen were private, her wishes for cremation will be honored.
The GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 117 Blackhawk Road Beaver Falls, PA 15010, was honored to care for Karen and her family during this most difficult time.

Karen was my daughter’s Aunt her dad’s sister, she was there for the birth of my daughter. She will be deeply missed.
