Obituary
Katherine Leihgeber, age 82, of New Galilee, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at her lifelong home.
Born on May 12th, 1943, in Big Beaver, PA, Katherine was known for her faith and dedicated work at Providence Health Care. She spent her life as a loyal lamb to her Lord, a devotee of the Christian House Baptist Church, and was very close with her dog Scotty. She loved crocheting in the sunshine on her porch.
She is survived by her nephews, Carl Allen Leihgeber (Marlana) of New Galilee, Bill Phillips (Jody) of New Galilee, and George Sepsie of New Castle; Nieces, Michele Sheridan (Bob) of Pittsburgh, Cindy Musquire, Kim Webb (Bruce) of New Galilee, and Marie Sepsie of Kansas; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Carl Leihgeber; siblings, Carl Edward Leihgeber (Veda), Thelma Phillips (Bill), Emma Sepsie, Lawrence Leihgeber; and great-niece, Ashlee Leihgeber.
Katherine will be remembered for her fierce personality, her quiet strength through hard times and the love she shared with those around her. Her recent fight with dementia and other health conditions is now finally at an end, with Marlana holding her hand, in restful peace.
Family and friends will be received Friday August 8th at 10 AM until 12 PM in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 117 Blackhawk Road Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
Internment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Rd, Aliquippa, PA 15001 or simply asks that you hold her in your thoughts.

You will always be remembered for your hard work and dedication to your patients at both Beaver Valley Nursing and Providence Center. Many patients years ago , told me what a caring sweet Aide you were to them. Many memories.from my childhood come to mind, the one that sticks out the most was when grand-pap, your dad, put me in the car with you when you were learning to drive and headed us to the field next to the house with you shifting gears and bouncing me all over the front of the car while grand -pap was outside running next to the car telling you what to do… terrifying to me at the time but a cherished memory thereafter. RIP Aunt Katherine ❤️

To my dear friend. You will be missed so much. You were there when I opened my eyes in ICU after my open heart surgery. You were there for me many times. I remember Scottie in tow everywhere you were he was right there. I know you have a special place in heaven for the kindness and love you bestowed on others. Thank you and I will see you again someday.
