Obituary
Kimberly B. Yope, 68, of Midland, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Heritage Valley Health System – Beaver Campus.
Born on July 29, 1956, in Waynesburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Edith (Nopwasky) Burton.
Kim was a graduate of Penn State University and had worked in the steel mill industry and later the Electrical Union. She was a talented quilter and loved to cook and entertain her friends and family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joseph Yope, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Sandy Burton; niece, Lise and her son, Shane; nephew, Michael (Brenda) and their children, Danica and Everett; and her special friends Sally Karakmarkovich, Becky Croyle, Danny Zuppe, and Beth Demoratz; and her Canine Companion, Charlie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Burton.
Friends will be received on Thursday, May 22nd from 2-4PM & 6-8PM in the GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 340 Third Street, Beaver.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23rd at 11AM in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kim’s name to the American Heart Association.

I don’t know how the world can go on without Kim Yope.
You are loved so dearly by all who knew you because you were the very best friend to everyone whose life touched yours. There will be a deep void that can’t be filled now.
But oh, how we will keep you alive in our cherished memories of you, of your life so well lived!
I sang One Hand, One Heart on your wedding day, and the final words are
“Even death won’t part us now”..
We will all do our best to remember that.
