Kizia Paulette "Kay" (Smick) Kickel, 75, of Darlington Township, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Heritage Valley – Beaver.

Born on April 25, 1946 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Gindlesperger) Smick. Kay spent her professional life as a preschool teacher, prep cook, and home health nurse.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kickel on August 4, 2016; and her sister, Sarah Smick.

Kay is survived by her children, Karen Nicholson, Robert Ribblett, Craig Ribblett, and James Ribblett; her grandchildren, Misty, Paula, Kasey, and Ashley; and great grandson Connor, and her siblings, Earl Flecker, and Mary Ann Kozak and sister-in-law Virginia Kickel.

In accordance with her wishes, Kay will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date in her hometown.
