Laura Victoria Hendry, 29, of Patterson Heights, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, peacefully, at Allegheny General Hospital, Monday Dec. 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family after an almost 3 year battle with brain cancer.
Born Sept., 17, 1987 in Pittsburgh, she is the daughter of Bard Lanier Hendry III and Lynne Davis (Niesley) Hendry, and the sister of Alayna Walker Hendry, all of Patterson Heights.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Stanley Griffith Hendry and Reba Virginia (Fry) Hendry; and maternal grandparents Robert Ellwood Niesley and Mary Abigail (Davis) Niesley Fadner.
Laura was a 2006 graduate of Beaver County Christian School, and a 2010 graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. degree in business administration. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, South Beaver Twp. Formerly employed with the Beaver County Fruit Markets where she loved spending her time in the greenhouses and interacting with local customers.
Laura was currently employed by Brookstone in the Airmall of the Pittsburgh International Airport.  She loved interacting with many Airmall employees, following all phases of aviation, and airport functions and events. She enjoyed traveling domestically and abroad, photography, exploring Pittsburgh and Beaver Co., art, music, films, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She boldly spread her faith when opportunities allowed, and never complained with her trials of cancer and treatments.
In addition to her parents and sister, she is survived by step grandfather Thomas A. Fadner  Sr., uncle  and aunt Van Corwin Hendry and Nancy Campbell Hendry, aunts Lorena Lynn Hendry and Myra Raborn; cousins Sam and Sara Hendry, Rick and Diane Noble, Kyle and Heather Noble, Gary and Rob Fry, Todd and Ian Hatcher, Harald and Katharine Bromley, and Jim and Diane Weber; great aunts and uncles Harry F. and Barbara Fry, Daniel and Leslie Hatcher, and Joan Hawksworth.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-6:30pm at the Todd Funeral Home, Inc., 340 Third St., Beaver. A Memorial Service will be held at 8pm at Christ Presbyterian Church, 828 Blackhawk Rd., celebrated by her friend and pastor Rev. Dr. Larry R. Elenbaum.
Private interment will take place at the Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Christ Pres. Church, the Elora’s H.O.P.E. Fund, Brain Cancer Support Group, The Pittsburgh Foundation, Five PPG Place, Suite 250, Pgh, PA 15222.

    My deepest thoughts and prayers for your family. Laura was such a wonderful funny and special person. She was able to make anyone laugh when they were having a bad day. She was always so sweet and kind. She will be missed by so many.
