Leonard “Skynard” E. Tobery, 37, of New Brighton died Sunday, January 3rd, 2016 in the Heritage Valley- Beaver Emergency Room.Born November 25th, 1978 in Rochester, he was the son of Cathy D. Cox Stief, Beaver Falls and Gerald E. Tobery Jr., FL. Leonard worked for MSP as a machine operator.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Cindy Mangold; his children, NaDayja Carter, Layla Tobery, Chloe Plagman, Abbigale Tobery, Raquel Tobery, December Tobery, Joshua Carter and Bryce Mangold; two sisters, Juanita Ochieng and Stacie (Darwin) Parker; a sister-in-law, Nikki Cox; aunts and uncles Dawnie “Dee” (Brian) Lebeck, Gloria (Larry) Johnson, Tina Tobery, Connie Tobery and Keith Tobery Sr.; nieces and nephews, Noah Tobery, Darrien, Jayla and Isabella McAnlis, a special cousin, Kyleigh Black who he loved like a little sister; and numerous other cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Opal Eakles, Leonard Cox, Gearld Tobery Sr. and Barbara Kelly; a brother, Eric O’Brien Tobery; an uncle,Bunk Cox; and his step-dad, Thomas Steif III.Friends will be received Thursday from 4-8pm in the Gabauer Funeral Home- New Brighton 1133 Penn Ave www.gabauerfuneralhome.com. Leonard will lie in state Friday from 10am until the time of service at 11am at Pathway Church 239 Braun Road Beaver Falls, Pa 15010. Pastor Matt Frye will officiate.Private interment will follow.
