Obituary

Linda Louise Iorfido
Beaver

Linda Louise Iorfido, 67, of Beaver, was peacefully received into the arms of our Heavenly Father on January 9, 2016. She was a strong soldier in a long and strenuous battle following a stroke suffered two years ago. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a steadfast friend and an active member of her most beloved church, Park Presbyterian. She was a woman of God.

Linda was born June 7, 1948, in Ambridge to her late mother and father, Geraldine and Hugo Iorfido. She was a 1966 graduate of Ambridge Area High school and went on to graduate from Slippery Rock University in 1970 with a degree in Physical Education. Upon graduation she relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina alongside her husband and began her career in Real Estate as well as coaching girls’ basketball. From Raleigh to St. Louis and back to Raleigh again with the birth of her son, she continued to practice Real Estate and coaching. Her love of family and children brought her home to Beaver County in 1980. She went on as a coach and sponsor for Beaver Cheerleaders and Ambridge Bridgers Girls’ Basketball and continued to be active in Real Estate.

She is survived by her daughter, Cristin L. Maybray and son-in-law Matthew J. Maybray, Sr.; Son, Bryan R. Botsko and fiancAC. Colleen Chasko; brother, Richard Iorfido and sister-in-law Charlene Iorfido; step-mother, Loretta Iorfido; four beautiful grandchildren, Taylir C. Roberts, Mason M. Maybray, Madox A. Maybray and Matthew J. Maybray, Jr.; dear friends in God, Bob Vallecorsa and Anne Riddley; her cherished nieces, Callie Wheeler and Mandie Iorfido and nephew, Richard Iorfido, Jr. She is survived and preceded in death by so many wonderful aunts and uncles as well as family members and friends, all of which whom have been instrumental in the molding of her faith and love of life. She is and will always be … lovely.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 in the Todd Funeral Home and a funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 AM in the Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver by her pastor Reverend Mark Boyd. Entombment will follow in Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum.
