Obituary

Lois Irene McCann, 88, formerly of Big Beaver, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Curt and Dee Shoaf of, Illinois.

Born May 30, 1932 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Romigh) Jones.  Before moving to Illinois, she was a member of the New Brighton Church of the Nazarene and for years prior a member of Berachah Chapel in Big Beaver.  She enjoyed baking, crocheting, building puzzles, adult coloring, bingo, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan.  She loved Elvis and Southern gospel music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry McCann; a daughter-in-law, Margie McCann; four brothers, Paul, Ralph, Richard and Edward Jones; and four sisters, Hazel Klink, Marjorie Hicks, Dorothy Johnson and Janet Holiday; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Thomas Olayer and Gabriel Jacob Roberts.

She is survived by eight children: Bev (David) Mulhollen, Palm Harbor, FL, Dee (Curt) Shoaf, Watseka, IL, Linda (Buster) Edgerton, New Castle, PA,  Butch (Julie) McCann, Beaver Falls, Martha (John) Prince, Aliquippa, PA, Chuck McCann, Lakeland, FL, Allie (Bob) Muehring, Brunswick, OH, and Chelly (Jack) Roberts, Stewartstown, PA.  She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren,  20 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. 

A private family funeral will be Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home 117 Blackhawk Rd., Chippewa Twp. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Lois to Uplifted Care 482 Main Street NW Boubonnais, IL 60914.

Private Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
