Obituary

Lois V. Roemele passed away peacefully in her sleep at home early in the morning on May 29, 2016. She was 75.Born January 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lois and Walter McElroy. Known to most as Virginia, she toucher so many lives with her wisdom and loving, caring manner. She was always ready to lend an ear and good advice to family and friends alike. Through the years, she had been active in the Junior Women’s Club, the Penn State Literacy Program, and, most recently, the Red Hats.She was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband Stefan.She is survived by two loving sons, Christopher and Rand; a nephew, David Mohn; two nieces, Patty (Bill) Thomas and Linda Davis, as well as several great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. Always a pillar of strength with her loving, supportive ways, she will be greatly missed by all.Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. with Pastor Cletus Fahrion officiating, and from 7 until 9 p.m. in the GABAUER-MATTER FUNERAL HOME, 1133 Church St., Ambridge, www.gabauermatterfuneralhome. A private interment will be performed privately by the family. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
