Louise (Mendicino) Kalcevic, 92, formerly of Beaver Falls, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Rochester Manor & Villa, Rochester, PA.

Born on June 12, 1931, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Domenica (Sacco) Mendicino.

In her early years, Louise worked at Westinghouse in Beaver.  She was a member and past president of the Chippewa Women's Club.  Having had a love for jazz music, she sang at various clubs and venues in the area.  Louise possessed a love for fashion and her sense of style was progressive for the times.  Taking her artistry to another level, she opened her own business, Elegant Accents, a silk flower arrangement shop.  She adorned many local businesses and homes throughout the county with her unique and exquisitely beautiful arrangements.  She was a diehard Steeler fan and loved talking sports.  Most of all, she loved her family. She was a member of the former Divine Teacher Parish, now known as St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish, where she served on the Ladies Guild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Lawrence Mendicino; and seven sisters, Helen DeRose, Mary Ferlaino, Antoinette Pelaia, Betty D'Eramo, Vickie D'Eramo, Carmella Borghi, and Theresa DeFelice.

Louise is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and godchildren.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10-11:30AM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

Departing prayers will be offered in the funeral home at 11:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish, 116 Thorndale Dr., Beaver Falls, PA 15010, with Fr. Ladis Cizik as celebrant.

Private interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, New Brighton.

Louise's family would like to extend a special 'Thank You' for all the care and love provided to her by the staff at Rochester Manor as well as her care team at Life Beaver.
