Obituary

Madeline “Nunny” Lucci, 93, of Chippewa Twp., went to meet her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

Born March 5, 1929, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Lapore) Colaberardino.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Vincent Mario Lucci; in-laws Augustine and Rosa (Rubino) Lucci; her grandson, August Matthew Lucci; brother Donald Colaberardino, four sisters-in-law, Anna Groves, Freda Colaberardino, Flicka Colaberardino and Pippie Colaber.

Madeline was a faithful Catholic and a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. She worked as a credit manager at Gimbles Dept. Store.

She loved to cook her famous spaghetti and meatballs and bake her coveted “Nunny’s Chocolate Chip Cookies.”  No one ever left her home hungry.

Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she cherished every minute with them. She was an avid Pens fan and never missed a game. She also enjoyed visiting the local casinos with her friends and playing cards.

She was always happy to spend time with her family and equally happy when they went home. She had a great sense of humor and always made the people around her laugh.

Madeline is survived by her daughters, Renee (Jim) Antkiewicz and Maureen Lucci; her son, Vince (Maureen) Lucci; her grandchildren, Ashley (Mike), Leah (Chris), Taylor, Vincent, Dwayne, Joseph, and Grace; two great-grandchildren, Antwon & Auggie; two brothers, Tom Colaberardino and Ray Colaber, and a brother-in-law, Jack Groves and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10AM at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, 116 Thorndale Road Chippewa Twp.  Father John Naugle will officiate.

Private entombment will be in Beaver Mausoleum.

Many thanks to the nurses (Debbie, Gemma, Susan, Leslie, and Kelli) of Pinnacle Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Madeline.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Madeline’s name to Pinnacle Hospice, 2605 Nicholson Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143, or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, www.t2t.org
