Obituary

Margaret Alice “Peg” Wory, 84, of New Brighton, passed away peacefully in her home with her loving husband by her side on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Born January 7, 1939 in Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Oakey N. and Margaret C. (Leist) Shrum.  Peg loved the outdoors, where she spent hours gardening.  She had a knack for decorating, and when you entered into her home you felt the love that she put into making it welcoming for everyone.  She loved spending time with her family.  She was smothered with love by her entire family in her final days.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Daniel Wory; three sons, Daniel (Cyndi) Wory, Douglas (Kimberly) Wory and David (Shari) Wory; 10 grandchildren, Duston Wory, Joshua (Diadra) Wory, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Wory, Jesse (Samantha) Wory, Kelsey (Michael) Seese, Cassie (Robert) Smith, Lindy (Christopher) Veitz, Samantha (Logan) Berger, Hannah (Wayne) Mros and Owen Bintrim; 14 great-grandchildren, Lydia Jo, Kayleigh, Emmett, Anna, and Wyatt Wory, Joella and Arlen Seese, Luke, Max, and Allison Smith, and Chloe, Tanner, Logan and Lilly Veitz; a brother, Robert “Buzz” (Rosemary) Shrum; a sister, Debbie (Pete) Galvan; 3 brothers-in-law, Michael Wory, Steven (Linda) Wory and Thomas Wory; a sister-in-law, Mildred (Larry “Beets”) Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Bintrim; a brother, Kenneth Shrum; a sister, Shirley Galzarano; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Shrum; and a brother-in-law, Angelo “Tubby” Galzarano.

There will be no services at this time.
