Margaret Elizabeth Cunnard Romigh

Brighton Township

Margaret Elizabeth Cunnard Romigh of Brighton Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6.  Margaret was the daughter of the late Walter and Patricia Cunnard of Ambridge and daughter-in-law of the late Harry and Marie Romigh of Beaver. Margaret graduated from Ambridge Area High School. She then graduated from Sewickley Valley Nursing School where she was awarded for her leadership skills. Always a woman ahead of her time, she received her Bachelors of Nursing through a correspondence course with the St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She served others as a nurse her entire adult life. Her professional career spanned leadership positions at Sewickley Valley Hospital, McGuire Memorial, and Friendship Ridge. At Friendship Ridge she played a critical role in the development of and was the first Clinical Coordinator for their special care Alzheimer’s/Dementia unit.
Her early retirement was caused by Multiple Sclerosis, but she never left her calling to love, serve, protect, and heal others.
She is preceded in death by her nephew Daniel Cunnard and brother-in-law Jay Romigh.
Margaret is survived by her husband Jack, children Kelly McNally, Megan Kolder, and Matthew Romigh as well as beloved grandsons Braeden and Gavin Kolder. She is also survived by siblings Kathleen Parry, Daniel Cunnard, Paul Cunnard, and Beth Ann Cunnard, sister-in-law Lue Verne Bowser, and dearest friends Suzanne Bilotto and Theresa Brown.
Friends and family of Margaret Cunnard Romigh will be received Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver where the funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 am followed by a brief service at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Beaver County Humane Society (www.beavercountyhumanesociey.org) in her honor.
