Obituary

Maria Fleming, 57, of Patterson Twp., passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Born August 12, 1964 in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Drummond) Abruzzino.  Maria was an administrative assistant at the Patterson Twp. Municipal Building for many years.  Her favorite color was purple and if that color was an option,she would choose it.  Maria loved becoming Nunnie to Giana, and enjoyed every minute that they spent together.  She showed her family and friends what love, courage, and strength truly meant every single day.  She fought a courageous battle with MS for over 20 years, and can now rest at peace.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Marissa and Art Mangie; her granddaughter, Giana Mangie; and her puppy, Sophie.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME- 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls PA 15010.  A rosary will be recited at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30pm.  Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Fr. Kim Schreck will officiate.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all of Maria’s longtime caregivers for all of the loving care they provided to her. 

Because Maria loved Giana so deeply, the family asks that instead of sending flowers, that contributions be made payable to Giana Mangie and mailed to the funeral home to be placed by the family into a fund for Giana's future.
