Obituary

Marianne F. Kelly, 86, of Patterson Twp., died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice. Born September 8, 1930, in Uniontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Pellish) Faris. She was a member of St. Monica Parish, and a registered nurse, working at Providence Care Center, Gateway Rehabilitation, and the Beaver Medical Center. She graduated in 1951 from the Mercy School of Nursing. She is survived by three sons, John C. Kelly Jr., Austin, Texas; L. William (Nancy) Kelly, Chippewa Twp., and Richard A. Kelly, Cranberry; daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Kelly, Patterson; two sisters, Dorothy Bates, San Antonio, Texas, and Margaret (Robert) Baney, Pawley Island, S.C.; six grandchildren, Kelly Schmidt, John F., Ryan W., Kate, Erin and Kaya Kelly, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a former husband, John C. Kelly; daughter-in-law, Barbara Kelly, and brother-in-law, Bill Bates.A memorial mass will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the St. Monica Parish, 116 Thorndale Drive, Chippewa Twp., where Father Kim Schreck will officiate.
