Obituary

Marilyn Mennell Jasper, 83, of Chippewa Twp., died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Friendship Ridge.Born April 8, 1932, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Harold V. and Bertha Hamilton Mennell. Marilyn was a member of Chippewa United Methodist Church. She worked for Bell Telephone Company and retired from Geneva College after 33 years of service.She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald G. Jasper; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda J. and John Kelly, Tampa, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas G. Jasper Sr. and Dr. Nancy Kunsak, Pittsburgh; two grandsons, Thomas G. Jasper Jr., Chippewa Twp., and Matthew J. Kelly, Portland, OR, and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Della Smith, Beaver Falls; Sue and Bob Campbell, North Carolina, and Eileen and Steve Biro, Chippewa Twp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Mennell.Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., www.gabauerluttonfuneralhome.com. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Chippewa United Methodist Church, 2545 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Rev Gary Hilton will officiate.Private interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery, Wampum.The family requests memorial contributions be made to either the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society, 3582 Brodhead Road, Suite 201, Monaca, PA 15061.
