That’s a very sweet story and I’m glad to share this with my family!!! Thank you for the shared memories.

  2. 1954. Yet another fun family gathering at the home of my parents, Jim and Dona Lou Birnesser…left to right are cousin Marlene, brother Don, cousin Sandy, cousin Patty Ann, and cousin Eddie. We all adored Marlene, she was so lively and fun, with a big smile and a big heart to match. Who took Don and me to our first New Galilee Carnival? Marlene. Who came over to our house one day, in her very own car as a new R.N., and scooped me up to take me out for my very first visit to a pizza parlor where I had my very first piece of pizza? (It was AMAZING, by the way.) Marlene. Who honored me by being my Sponsor for the sacrament of Confirmation at Saint Rose Catholic Church? Marlene. We all were lucky to have Marlene in our big Birnesser family. We will love her forever and we can now think on her radiant smile lighting up the skies of Heaven…which is lucky to have her.

  3. Jodie, you are so welcome. Your mom…so wonderful, such a joy to be around…and yes, an original, one of a kind! My heartfelt sympathies to you, to your sisters, and to your families. Love to all.❤️
