Mary Abigail Fadner
Patterson Township
Mary Abigail Fadner, 84, of Patterson Township, formerly of Oshkosh, WI, and Pittsburgh, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born June 2, 1932 in Conemaugh, PA, was a daughter of the late Thomas W. and Margaret A. (Hatcher) Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert E. Niesley. She was a Graduate of Nanty Glo High School and Cambria-Rowe Business College and attended Conemaugh School of Nursing, both of Johnstown, PA; formerly employed by the Highland Drive VA Hospital, Pittsburgh, the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, IL, however, her favorite employment of 15 years was with the EAA, (Experimental Aircraft Association), Oshkosh. Abby loved meeting pilots and aviation enthusiasts from all over the world. Her love was decorating and renovating the “Black Oak School “ where she and Tom resided, music, and doting on her granddaughters. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, Oshkosh.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Thomas A. Fadner, Sr.; daughter Lynne D. Hendry, and husband (Bard), two granddaughters Laura V. and Alayna W. Hendry all of Patterson Heights; two step sons, Thomas Fadner, Jr. and Timothy Fadner; two sisters Joan Hawksworth, Tulsa, OK, Leslie Hatcher and Husband ( G. Daniel), Leonardtown, MD; 13 nieces & nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held Saturday, October 22, in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver, with her dear friend Rev. Dr. Larry R. Elenbaum officiating. Interment followed in the Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
